Surrey Park Junior Football Club is proud to have been awarded Women and Girls Chartered Club status by the AFL for 2025 and was one of the first YJFL clubs to be awarded.
Chartered Club status demonstrates our Club’s commitment to making community football club environments welcoming, safe and inclusive for women and girls.
The charter sets out expectations that clubs will champion women and girls, guided by the following principles:
- Opportunity – Women and girls can fully participate as players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and administrators
- Visibility – Women and girls are respected as leaders and role models in the club.
- Access – Women and girls have safe and fair access to Club facilities and resources.
- Investment – There is fair and equitable investment in women and girls football in our club
